Our Mission for 2029

Over the next 36 months, TerraTwin will deliver a validated, operational 7D Digital Twin of the Ecosystem (DTE). This living model will bridge the gap between climate projections and biodiversity status, providing actionable “What-If” simulations for European environmental policy.

The Key Goals

🎯 Harmonize & Secure Data:

Building unified, FAIR-compliant data pipelines. We combine Earth Observation (Copernicus) and in-situ sensors with blockchain-secured datasets and DNA metabarcoding for precise biodiversity status evaluation.

🤖 Advanced 4D Modeling:

Deploying AI and Machine Learning to forecast ecosystem responses to specific stressors, including major wildfire cascades, compound flooding, and deep-sea habitat degradation.

🌍 Real-World Pilot Validation:

Testing the DTE across 4 critical zones: Greece (Wildfire impacts), Spain (Deep-sea restoration), Ireland (Climate-resilient fisheries), and Belgium (Flood-soil biodiversity).

⚖️ Socio-Economic Policy Support:

Transforming complex environmental data into evidence-based management strategies, from fire hazard prevention to sustainable fishery yield optimization.
