TerraTwin Welcomes Its External Advisory Board

Jul 14, 2026 | News

TerraTwin is pleased to announce the appointment of its External Advisory Board, a group of independent experts who will provide strategic guidance and critical review throughout the lifetime of the project.

As TerraTwin builds its 7D Digital Twin of the Ecosystem to decode the climate–biodiversity nexus, the Advisory Board brings an external, independent perspective across the project’s core domains — from environmental assessment and coastal planning, to remote sensing and geospatial analysis, to the standardisation of Environmental Digital Twins. Their combined expertise will help ensure that TerraTwin’s scientific approach, technical architecture, and impact remain robust, relevant, and aligned with the needs of the wider community.

Meet the members

The External Advisory Board is composed of three distinguished experts:

  • Dr. Leonardo Marotta Minestroni — environmental consulting and impact evaluation, with a long-standing focus on the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) framework.
  • Prof. Giorgos Mallinis — Professor of Remote Sensing at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specialising in remote sensing and GIS for natural hazards, biodiversity, and climate change adaptation.
  • Mr. Sigmund Kluckner — a leading contributor to the advancement of Environmental Digital Twins and to IEEE standardisation activities in this field.

We warmly welcome our advisors and look forward to their contributions as TerraTwin progresses. Read their full profiles on the dedicated Advisory Board page.
